Last week, I was interviewing random people for positions at CuseMyCampus, when a friendly girl walked by and asked, “Wait, are you the guy who runs CuseMyCampus?”

Enter Marisa Campbell.

Marisa is a student rep for Columbia pictures. She told me Columbia is looking for various outlets to promote their new movie, The Social Network, and she said CuseMyCampus would be perfect. I said sure, but what do I get in return? Well, apparently it was my lucky day, because Columbia was going to hook me up with free movie tickets, t-shirts, mouse pads, and backpacks!

Woohoo!

So, as most of you fellow CuseMyCampers saw, we ran a contest giving away free goodies to those who entered.

I also got to speak with the leading actors of the movie, as well as see a sneak premiere last week.

The movie, directed by David Fincher, and
written by Aaron Sorkin, tells the story of the birth of Facebook and the
eventual demise of Mark Zuckerberg. The movie details the ups-and-downs Mark
Zuckerberg (played by Jesse Eisenberg) experienced as he started Facebook; from
stealing the idea for the website to embarrassing his girlfriend and neglecting
his best friend, Eduardo Saverin (played by Andrew Garfield).

Jesse Eisenberg plays Mark Zuckerberg
flawlessly. He’s an awkward young college student, whose pompous attitude
drives the movie forward. The movie flashes back and forth between various
court cases, as well as following Mark Zuckerbergs life from his freshman dorm
room to his offices in Palo Alto.

While speaking with Jesse Eisenberg, I asked
him if he could relate to Mark Zuckerberg at all. He said that he definitely
could, and understood where Mark was coming from at times. “When I’m doing
movie interviews, and if I say the wrong thing, it comes back to haunt
me,” he explained. “Although,” he contended, “I can’t
imagine what its like to be such an important figure, when [Mark Zuckerberg]
says one thing and has such an effect on everyone.”

Jesse explained that Aaron Sorkin portrayed him
as a billionaire, a social-networking genius, but also as somebody who still
feels alone and incomplete.

Oh, and Justin Timberlake is in the movie”¦ that
was interesting.

What did I think? I thought the movie was really
well done and keeps you in suspense despite the fact that you know how it ends.
It also had a few really great one-liners spit out by Jesse Eisenberg.

And, as you can see from your friends facebook statuses, and IMDB reviews, its definitely worth seeing.

Go see this movie. Now!!
